5. Satellite:
Modem connections are not the only way to get connected to the internet. If we think about a non-terrestrial way of connectivity, the satellite connection is the prime way. There stands a ground station from where direct connectivity to the satellite takes place. So one's signals have to leave this planet so that they can make some good internet connection. One can also have some beautiful thoughts on this connection too. This is a stable way of connectivity where typical upload speed is maintained. Satellite connection is an excellent way of connectivity where the traditional connection does not work.
However, there are some disadvantages too associated with it. It would be best if you had specific equipment to support the connection, so it is a costly affair compared to other types of connections. So if one cannot find any of that choice, then this is the right choice. There is also some potential disadvantage which is associated here. The internet connection would have to complete some loop, which would be about going up and coming down, and it is going to take a long time. So if one is thinking about some real-time functions that can be performed by the connection, then there would be patency found, which won't allow the user to do that.
6. Cellular (Mobile Support):
In today's era, when the internet and cell phones are big demand, people love using the internet on their cell phones. Initially, we have seen the 2G connection, which GSM facilitated, but gradually, we see rapid evolution like 3G,4G, and now it's the era of 5G. It has come from the third generation project. It is also known as the 3GPP. The most common among these is LTE. It is a long term evolution. It is based on EDGE based networking.
